Risk Disclosure

Trading futures and using automated trading systems involve substantial financial risk. Please read this disclosure carefully before using any Rogue Trading Systems software or making trading decisions.

Futures Trading Involves Substantial Risk

Futures trading can result in substantial losses and is not suitable for every trader. You can lose some or all of the capital allocated to trading, and losses may occur rapidly due to leverage, volatility, execution conditions, market gaps, or other factors. You should trade only with risk capital that you can afford to lose.

1. No Guarantee of Profitability

Rogue Trading Systems does not guarantee that any strategy, automated system, software configuration, historical result, simulated result, or trading method will produce profits or avoid losses.

Market conditions change. A strategy that performed favorably in prior market environments may perform differently in the future and may experience losing trades, drawdowns, periods of underperformance, or complete loss of its historical edge.

2. Historical and Simulated Performance

Historical, hypothetical, backtested, simulated, or modeled performance results have inherent limitations. They are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight and may not reflect the impact of all conditions that affect live trading.

Actual trading results can differ materially because of factors including:

  • Slippage and order-fill differences
  • Commissions and transaction costs
  • Bid/ask spreads
  • Market liquidity
  • Execution latency
  • Price gaps
  • Rejected or partially filled orders
  • Data-feed differences
  • Platform or brokerage behavior
  • Changes in market structure or volatility

3. Automated Trading Risk

Automated trading does not eliminate trading risk. Software can execute instructions rapidly, which can increase both gains and losses.

Automated systems may also be affected by technical problems such as internet interruptions, computer failure, platform failure, brokerage outages, data-feed problems, incorrect settings, duplicate strategy instances, software conflicts, order-routing errors, or unexpected platform behavior.

Users are responsible for monitoring their trading platform, account, open positions, working orders, connectivity, and overall trading risk.

4. Leverage and Drawdown

Futures contracts are leveraged instruments. Leverage can magnify both gains and losses and can create losses significantly larger than the initial margin required to enter a position.

Every trading system can experience drawdown. Historical drawdown figures do not establish a maximum future drawdown. Future losses may exceed historical losses, modeled losses, or expected risk levels.

5. Strategy Parameters and Configuration

Rogue strategies are developed and validated using defined system settings. Changing parameters, instruments, timeframes, contract quantities, session settings, execution assumptions, or other strategy inputs can materially change the behavior and risk of the system.

The user assumes responsibility for any modification to the supplied configuration and for the resulting trading behavior.

6. Live Trading May Differ From Testing

Live trading conditions cannot be perfectly reproduced in historical testing. Real-world execution may differ because of changing liquidity, exchange behavior, market volatility, order priority, slippage, brokerage technology, latency, and other factors.

Historical or simulated metrics should not be interpreted as a promise, forecast, or guarantee of live results.

7. Prop-Firm Trading Risk

Proprietary trading firms may impose rules relating to daily loss limits, trailing drawdowns, maximum position size, account scaling, automated trading, trade copying, prohibited strategies, payout eligibility, and other restrictions.

These rules can change at any time. Rogue Trading Systems does not control prop-firm policies and does not guarantee that a strategy will remain eligible under the rules of any particular firm.

Users are responsible for reviewing and complying with the current rules of the prop firm they choose to use.

8. Brokerage and Platform Risk

Rogue Trading Systems is not responsible for losses resulting from brokerage, exchange, data-provider, platform, network, hardware, or third-party service interruptions or failures.

Users should understand the emergency procedures available through their broker and trading platform, including how to cancel orders, flatten positions, disable strategies, and verify account status.

9. Software and Technical Risk

No software is guaranteed to operate without interruption or error. Although Rogue systems are developed and tested for intended behavior, bugs, compatibility issues, platform updates, operating-system changes, or other technical conditions may affect performance.

Users are responsible for maintaining a compatible trading environment and for installing approved updates when required.

10. No Individualized Financial Advice

Rogue Trading Systems provides trading software, technical information, and deployment support. Rogue Trading Systems does not provide individualized investment, financial, tax, legal, or trading advice.

Users are responsible for determining whether futures trading, automated trading, and any Rogue strategy are appropriate for their financial circumstances, objectives, experience, and risk tolerance.

11. Responsibility for Trading Decisions

The decision to activate, disable, size, configure, or trade with any Rogue strategy belongs solely to the user. The user remains responsible for all positions, orders, profits, losses, margin requirements, account activity, and trading decisions associated with their account.

12. Third-Party Products and Services

References to NinjaTrader®, brokers, exchanges, proprietary trading firms, data providers, or other third-party products and services are provided for informational and compatibility purposes.

Rogue Trading Systems does not control these third parties and is not responsible for their rules, pricing, technology, availability, performance, or changes to their products and services.
